Did you know that there are 2 types of companies that clean gutters?

There’s the big Gutter Vacuum companies who use the big vacuum cleaner units.

These guys are actually really good.

They specialise in cleaning gutters and they have all of the equipment to do it properly…

When would you call the Gutter Vacuum Companies?

If you have extremely high double story home, then these guys are probably your best bet. They do this all the time and have all of the proper safety gear.

If you have a normal home with easy access to the gutters then they could also be a great option for you.

But sometimes, you’ll be wasting your time calling these companies out to give you a quote… here’s why…

There’s a couple of reasons why these gutter cleaning companies won’t clean your gutters:

1. All of the big “gutter cleaning companies” use vacuum cleaners to clean your gutters, but if you have gutter guards  then they refuse to clean your gutters because they don’t want to remove and reinstall your gutter guards…

2. If you only need a small section of your roof and gutters cleaned, then they refuse because the job is too small and not worth their time…

3. If you have a section of guttering that is obstructed and the vacuum head won’t fit… they won’t clean that section of gutter…

So if you have any of the problems above… you would be better off calling the second type of gutter cleaning service…

The second type of gutter cleaning service is…

The guys who clean your gutters and downpipes by hand…(Me)

This is how I clean your gutters… I get up close and personal with your gutters and spouting, and clean everything by hand…

When would you call me, the Clean by Hand Guys?

1. If you have gutter guards, then this is the time you would call me… Most of the gutters that I clean have gutter guards in place and have been turned away by the Gutter Vac Guys… I have no problems removing the guards, cleaning your gutters and downpipes, then putting the guards back in place…

Hey, I don’t discriminate against gutters with guards… they need cleaning too…

2. If you have a small section of gutters that need to be cleaned or if the valleys on your roof are blocked with leaves… even if you have one down pipe that is blocked…

These are smaller jobs that may be too small for the big guys…

I’m not claiming one way is better than the other…

Who you should call just depends on your situation…
